The Montana Junior Academy of Science values scientific research and technical writing by high school students and provides a forum for students to share their research with peers from around the state and have an authentic encounter with Montana scientists. The meeting of the Montana Junior Academy of Science occurs alongside that of the Montana Academy of Science in the spring of each year.  The opportunity to interact with peers interested in science and scientists from around the state  has such value to young people considering science as a field of study.  The Montana Junior Academy of Science is part of the American Junior Academy of Science (AJAS), which is the only national honor society recognizing America's premier high school students for outstanding scientific research.
